At Butter’s House we strive to make the human animal bond stronger. We accomplish this by first creating a client bond. We show the clients that we also want what is best for their pets, through our empathy, kindness, education, and friendship. This happens through honesty and interest in other people.
We show empathy by listening and paying attention. By not rushing people out the door or talking over them. By asking how their day was or congratulating them on an accomplishment. By saying, “I understand”, and “let me see if I can help with that”. We show kindness in helping people with tangled leashes or grabbing someone a water or picking up a poop a dog has made while walking into the building.
We show our education by being professional. By using the correct terminology for bodily functions and body parts. By taking part in all the classes offered at work. By explaining conditions or diseases. By answering the phone quickly and professionally. By being knowledgeable about different breeds. By getting to know each animal enough to be able to suggest packages or extras that might appeal to the client and provide additional service to the pet.
We show friendship by learning names, asking if they need a snack, or if they need any help out to the car. By mentioning something funny or cute their pet did that day. Telling someone how much you like their dog/cat/etc. We can remember dog birthdays or adoption anniversaries and celebrate or congratulate.
We believe safety is our top priority. By keeping everyone safe, and establishing a client bond, we are in a perfect position to make their pets life better and strengthening that bond they have with their pet.
